About Kinsale Newsletter

Niamh O'Connell, daughter of the late Frank Hurley, now runs the Kinsale Newsletter. The publication is written, edited and set up in our offices at Emmet Place, Kinsale. It is then sent to Inspire Design and Print in Skibbereen where it is printed and bound, ready for delivery.

One thousand copies are published monthly and are circulated to outlets around Kinsale, Ballinspittle, Belgooly and Riverstick where they are on sale at €2.75 per copy.

Letters to the editor are always welcome as are photos and details of family milestones, for example, weddings, engagements, significant birthdays, christenings, etc. We do our best to cover the latest in current affairs relating to the town and and features include profiles on the various stall holders at the weekly Farmer's Market and a monthly New Business Profile.

If readers would like to contribute any items to forthcoming issues of the Newsletter, contact us or just let us know what you would like to see published in the Newsletter and on our website.

Emmet Place is also the base for the Kinsale & Clonakilty Advertisers, two publications which are weekly advertisers and guides to What's On in both areas. These free guides advertise events, activities and entertainment in the two towns as well as advertising shops, restaurants and other outlets. A map of each town centre is included from Easter to September and events advertised in the Diaries are also uploaded to the Entertainment Ireland website. During the high season up to 2000 copies are printed weekly and each publication is distributed to over 100 outlets including Cork Airport and Tourist Offices in Kinsale, Clonakilty and Cork City. The Kinsale & Clonakilty Advertisers prove invaluable to both locals and visitors to the towns alike.
