1916 Commemorations in Kinsale

To commemorate the 1916 Rising, Kinsale and District History Society have a number of events planned over the coming weeks. The first of which takes place in the town on Easter Monday, March 28th, at noon in the Town Park, with the unveiling of a plaque to mark the event. On Thursday April 7th John Collins will deliver a lecture on the Aud at the Temperance Hall at 8pm. Finally, on April 23rd and 24th, the society will host a number of events, including a school’s display at the Temperance Hall and a commemorative ceremony will take place at the town’s Plaza, involving children from the local primary schools at 3pm on Saturday 23rd.
