21st Century Education at Kinsale College

Kinsale College basked in glorious sunshine this morning for the launch of their new cutting-edge Microsoft teaching and learning technology. Mayor of County Cork, Christopher O’Sullivan, was joined by fellow politicians, teachers, representatives from UCC and CIT, and others including College founder, John Thuillier, at the launch of the new technology provided by Wriggle.
Following a demonstration of the technology, Kinsale College Principal, Liz Moynihan, spoke about the college and the role it has played in education in Kinsale as well as it’s ambition to be completely digital. Three students of Kinsale College spoke about their experiences there which were so positive and uplifting. Christopher Good spoke about studying Multi-Media, how much he has learned and how much confidence the course gave him. Sharon Crosbie described how an ad for the College in the Kinsale Advertiser prompted her to sign up for TV & Film production course and while Diana Junio, a mom of 3 small kids, is now in her first year of a Degree in Occupational Therapy at UCC. Diana explained how Kinsale College provided her with the foundation, tools and confidence to apply for her degree course with career guidance, interview preparation, etc.
Mayor of County Cork, Christopher O’Sullivan, whose Mum is Paddy O’Connell from Bandon Road, eloquently closed the speeches with his ringing endorsement of the College and it’s motto of ‘No Limits’.
