Carpool Climate Karaoke at KCS
Posted by Kinsale Newsletter on Tuesday 7 March 2017

The students at Kinsale Community School never cease to amaze! Apart from the recent successes at the BTYSE Young Scientist competition and sporting successes, first year pupils took part in the SEAI: One Good Idea competition. The competition includes both primary and post primary schools across the country and this year had over 1000 entrants. Class teacher, Shane Healy, is delighted to report that his group has made it to the top 50 national ideas.
Their hope is to reach the top 14 ideas which will be judged in Croke Park in May. The students’ project is based on James Corden’s Carpool Karaoke and is entitled ‘Carpool Climate Karaoke’, with the aim of making more pupils aware of the benefits of carpooling and the fun they can have in the process! To promote this concept they have organised a Carpool Climate Karaoke day this Thursday, 9th March. The KCS CREW and Kinsale Community School have arranged a free carpool matching service at CarpoolWorld! You can follow the link at: https://www.carpoolworld.com/carpooling.html?c=kcscarpool
The KCS crew would be very pleased to have you join them in commuting more efficiently and helping to save the natural environment while you save on your transportation expenses.
