Comedy at The Blue Haven

Comedy comes to the Blue Haven Kinsale with Father Damo, Stone & Mc Love from Father Ted Blue Haven has had many amazing comedy shows in the past such as Jason Byrne and PJ Gallagher and are delighted to now have three of Fathers Ted’s most memorable guests coming together for a night of stand up and musical comedy on Thursday 23rd February.

Patrick McDonnell played Eoin McLove in the episode Night of the Nearly Dead
He has performed as a stand up all over Ireland and beyond, and has been mainstay of the comedy festival circuit for two decades.
He has appeared in and written for many shows on RTE such as Naked Camera, Stew, the Savage Eye and Don’t feed the Gondolas. Lately he has appeared as the character Frank Fahey on Sky 1’s Moone Boy and as “Martin” on Bridget and Eamon.

Michael Redmond played Father Stone in the episode Entertaining Father Stone. He is an accomplished stand-up comedian and hosts a weekly show in The Stand Comedy Club in Glasgow. His live show ‘Eamonn, Older Brother of Jesus’ was adapted for a BBC Radio 4 series. He has also appeared in Brass Eye and Stewart Lee's Comedy Vehicle.

Joe Rooney, aka Father Damo, was in the episode Old Grey Whistle Theft.
His energetic mixture of stand up and musical comedy and ability to engage with the audience has brought him to venues all over Britain and Ireland for many years and he has headlined clubs in Moscow, Azerbaijan, China, Brussels, Barcelona, USA, Dubai, Muscat and Bahrain.

Joe is also a successful actor and writer having acted as Timmy in the long running RTE sitcom Killinaskully as well as a host of short films. He starred in the CBBC series Roy, TV3's Red Rock, was winner of Ireland's Celebrity Come Dine with Me, got a five-star review in the theatre version of The Shawshank Redemption along with Omid Djalili and recorded a single “The Rockier Road to Poland” with Shane McGowan and The Aftermath.
