A glass of wine and mince pies, hosted by the members of Kinsale Lions Club, set the scene for distribution of funds to local charities at Trident Hotel recently.
 
The funds available came from a number of events held throughout the year, including cycle run,  breakfast meeting, golf classic and recent table quiz.  In all cases the local traders and people of Kinsale gave generously, making it possible to assist the less well off in our community through the work of a number of established charities who work at the coalface. 
Recipients included: The Community School, Meals on Wheels, Lourdes Fund,
Youth Development Services, Red Cross, Gift Houses, SVP.
