Kinsale GAA among Winners of the Carroll's Cuisine GAA Jersey Competition
Posted by Kinsale Newsletter on Monday 25 January 2016

Carroll’s is delighted to announce that Kinsale GAA Under 14’s Girls were among the 25 winners of their jersey competition, which attracted hundreds of entries from across the country. The competition, which was created to celebrate 25 years of Carroll’s supporting Offaly GAA, asked clubs/schools to simply describe why they deserve to win a set of jerseys. Mairead Cronin from Kinsale entered a great story into the competition which got the attention of the judges and resulted in the team being awarded a free set of jerseys from Carroll’s. The presentation took place last Saturday morning, January 23rd, at Kinsale GAA pitch.
Carroll’s is Ireland’s favourite ham in both the Delicatessen and the pre-packed aisle *(Kantar, September 2015). What sets Carroll’s apart from the competition is that they continue to use traditional family recipes, that produce a Carroll’s ham which is carefully nurtured, hand-crafted using only the highest quality pork and slow cooked for a better taste.
Since 1991, when the GAA first allowed sponsorship of county shirts, Carroll’s was the first name on the famous Offaly green and gold shirts and it has remained there ever since making it one of the longest county shirt sponsorship in the history of the GAA.
Speaking about the competition, Karen Hanley, Marketing Manager of Carroll’s said, “Everyone at Carroll’s is delighted to be able to reward GAA fans/teams across the country with a brand new set of jerseys. The judges had a difficult time picking the winners from the hundreds of entries received. This has been a fantastic platform for us to mark our 25 years of supporting Offaly GAA.”
