Kinsale Pink Ribbon Walk 2017
Posted by Kinsale Newsletter on Monday 6 March 2017

Congratulations to Kinsale Pink Ribbon committee on organising another wonderful Pink Ribbon Walk in aid of The Irish Cancer Society/Action Breast Cancer in Kinsale this weekend. Hundreds of runners and walkers gathered despite the temperamental weather to undertake the 10 km scenic route around the outskirts of Kinsale. Led once again by Sharon Crosbie, Pink Ribbon Ambassador, the event took place in sunshine, hail, gusts and more sunshine! But the challenging weather didn’t dampen the spirits of those who took off following a vigorous warm-up routine with Zumba Instructor, Debbie Keane, to the music provided by DJ Anthony Collins.
The After Walk Closing Ceremony was held in the Kinsale Suite at Actons Hotel which included refreshments and entertainment with Sharon Crosbie and her band.
The Pink Ribbon Walk is a fantastic community event which has the added benefit of raising much needed funds for a very deserving cause.Well done to all involved in making it happen.
Next up on the Calendar of Events is to turn the town from pink to green for the annual St. Patrick’s Maritime and Street Parades on Thursday 16th at 7.30pm and Friday 17th March at 4pm respectively.
