NOTICE UNDER ARTICLE 179 OF THE PLANNING AND DEVELOPMENT ACT, 2000 AND PART 8, ARTICLE 79 to ARTICLE 85 OF THE PLANNING AND DEVELOPMENT REGULATIONS, 2001 and 2006

Pursuant to the requirements of Part 8 of the Planning and Development Regulations, 2001 and 2006, notice is hereby given that Kinsale Town Council proposes to carry out the following development: - Construction of a playground amenity area and associated works located within the existing Town Park adjacent to Pier Road, Kinsale, Co. Cork.
Location: Town Park, Town-Plots, Pier Road, Kinsale, Co. Cork.
Nature and extent of proposed development:The proposed scheme is located on the green area of an existing public park and covers 0.022 hectares. The area of the Town Park is 0.211 hectares. This Scheme will involve Ground works, construction of a playground amenity area consisting of play equipment and safety surfacing, erecting of playground perimeter fencing and associated works within the existing Town Park adjacent to Pier Road, Kinsale, Co. Cork.
Plans and particulars of the proposal will be available for inspection by the public for a period beginning on 11th February 2013 and ending 25th March 2013 in the following venue:
• Kinsale Town Council, Municipal Hall, St. John’s Hill, Kinsale, Co. Cork, on each day during which the said offices are open for the transaction of business.
A copy of the documents may be purchased on payment of a specified fee not exceeding the reasonable cost of making a copy.
Submissions and observations with respect to the proposed development, dealing with the proper planning and sustainable development of the area in which the development will be situated, may be made in writing to the A/Town Clerk, Kinsale Town Council, Municipal Hall, St. John’s Hill, Kinsale, Co. Cork on or before 4.30p.m. Monday 8th April 2013.
