Tractor Run for Kinsale Community School
Posted by Kinsale Newsletter on Tuesday 7 March 2017

Fundraising for the new state-of-the-art running track and pitch at Kinsale Community School is ongoing with the committee to date raising just over a quarter of the €160,000 necessary to fund the project. One enterprising TY student at Kinsale Community School, Michael Madden, has had the novel idea of organising a Tractor Run! The event takes place this Sunday and starts from Belgooly GAA Grounds. Registration takes place from 10am and the Tractor Run will start at 12noon and is expected to take about three hours. The fun family event includes face painting for children and live music will follow in the Huntsman. As well as a raffle on the day there will be a prize for Best Modern Tractor and Best Vintage Tractor.
Well done to Michael, his family and friends for taking the initiative to organise the Tractor Run, which will no doubt cover the cost of a good number of metres of pitch and track!

* Kinsale Community School Parents’ Association, who have undertaken the onerous task of raising the €160,000 required to finish the track and pitch, are still actively seeking donations. If you are in a position to fund a metre of pitch (€50) or a metre of the running track (€250), please forward your donation to Kinsale Community School, receipts will be issued.
