About The Kinsale Newsletter

Established in 1976 by the late Frank Hurley and continued by his daughter Niamh O'Connell, The Kinsale & District Newsletter is much loved by locals and visitors alike, charting the news and pictures from the community through the years. The publication is written, edited and set up in our offices at Emmet Place, Kinsale. It is then sent to Inspire Design and Print in Skibbereen where it is printed and bound, ready for delivery.

Covering the latest in current affairs relating to the town, we also do occasional features & profiles on the town and the people in it. Letters to the editor are always welcome as are photos and details of family milestones, for example, weddings, engagements, significant birthdays, christenings, etc. If readers would like to contribute any items to forthcoming issues of the Newsletter, contact us or just let us know what you would like to see published in the Newsletter and on our website.

The Newsletter also offers fantastic ways to advertise your business or event with very competitive rates in either colour or black & white. We can prepare your advert for you (no extra charge for design and layout) or use something you might have prepared already (poster, flyer, etc.). Contact us for more information on our rates, upcoming issues & deadlines.

New to our stable in 2011 was the publication of the Kinsale Map. This very useful guide includes a map of Kinsale town centre, a map of scenic walking routes and a brief but informative history of Kinsale.  Printed in full colour, 60,000 copies are distributed free throughout the town, county and beyond!
