Kinsale Gourmet Weekend 15th to 17th of October 2021 Cancelled
Posted by Kinsale Newsletter on Thursday 9 September 2021

With due regard to the safety and health of our members, their staff, leaders, attendees, sponsors and anyone involved in the undertaking of the Gourmet Weekend in Kinsale 2021, we have no other choice than to cancel this event for the second year in a row. This highly sought-after festival plays host to creators of excellent food from Jim Edwards, The Supper Club, Finns’ Farmcut, The White Lady, Man Friday, Actons Hotel, The White House, The Trident Hotel, The Bulman, Fishy Fishy and The Blue Haven, sponsors of fantastic wines, beers & spirits, food stalls of local producers, musicians, street entertainers and much much more.
We as a group are devastated to share this news with you but we are committed to do our part to help protect our staff, attendees and fellow Kinsale people. We still are exploring options to reschedule this event in early 2022. We will continue to work hard to bring you the unique event that you love, though it is true that our 15th-17th of October 2021 event will no longer take place, we continue to strive towards our purpose of helping create a magnificent weekend in Kinsale. Should you be visiting Kinsale that weekend the 11 Good Food Circle restaurants would love to see you but be advised to book if possible.
We would like to do a special shout out to our main sponsors for their support throughout the last 45 years.
As we are but a small group of restaurants in a relatively small town, the members’ main priority now is looking after their own businesses which as everyone knows is extremely challenging at the moment with proprietors and chefs working long hours to keep the show on the road due to staffing shortages.
We look forward to being back bigger and better than ever in 2022.
