Kinsale Town Council have given Transition Town Kinsale some lovely garden beds just below the Convent on the Middle hill off Higher O'Connell Street. Transition Town Kinsale will be using this as an edible garden which is good for the community and good for the wildlife also. It is envisaged that TTK will create garden beds filled with flowers and edibles too.
Please come along and join our community Meitheal. Bring a friend and a drink or flask of tea to share! We'd also appreciate it if you can help to donate cardboard, newspaper, straw, and tools (to be used on the day).
If you happen to have some wood in good condition to make a beautiful frame for the bed that would be terrific.
We are going to have regular Meitheals to prepare and maintain these beds. Our first Meitheal will be to prepare the beds with mulch and Liam will hopefully start work putting bed frames.
