Giles Norman received his first camera on his eighteenth birthday, and he first photographed the wild Atlantic tides from his parents’ garden in County Cork. His vast portfolio travels beyond the Irish shores, but it was Ireland’s dramatic coastline that first inspired Giles to become a photographer, and it’s this landscape that continues to drive his artistic passion today. The Giles Norman Gallery, which celebrated its thirtieth anniversary in 2018, is located in an elegant Georgian building on the Main Street of Kinsale, the beautiful coastal town that marks the beginning of the Wild Atlantic Way.
