Gaelscoil Chionn tSáile was recently awarded a new Green Flag by An Taisce's Green Schools programme, after spending two years working on the Travel theme. The Mayor of Bandon & Kinsale Municipal District, Cllr. Marie O'Sullivan, was in attendance at the flag raising ceremony at the school on May 17th 2023, along with members of Kinsale Tidy Towns, members of the Gaelscoil's Green Schools Committee and the school's principal Sinéad Ní Mhurchú.
