Kinsale Green Week

Kinsale College has just announced that it will be organising a Green Week this March. Working with Transition Town Kinsale, Zero Waste Kinsale, and Plastic Free Kinsale, Kinsale College Green Week will run from Saturday 16th to Saturday 23rd March.

The event will be launched at the inaugural Kinsale Community Energy Project (set up by Transition Town Kinsale) on Thursday 7th March. To tie in with Green Week, Kinsale St. Patrick’s Day Parade committee has chosen the theme ‘Think Green’ for this year’s parade.

Several events have been scheduled to date with others to be confirmed:
Sunday 17th March: Think Green - St Patrick's Day Parade
Tuesday 19th March: Mark Boyle (Moneyless Man) a conversation about his new book living without electricity etc. (Kinsale College)
Wednesday 20th March: Tara Shine - Plastic Free Kinsale - Change by Degrees - Climate Justice (Kinsale College)
Thursday 21st March: Zero Waste Workshop with Olivia Ormstom and Margaret Thuillier (Kinsale College)
Friday 22nd March: Zero Waste Workshop with Olivia Ormstom and Margaret Thuillier (Kinsale Community School)

Thomas Riedmuller will also be taking the pupils of St Multose NS on a walk around the gardens at Kinsale College. Keep an eye out for more details closer to the time!
