Christmas is a time for traditions and one of the favourite traditions in Kinsale is the annual Christmas Day Swim organised by Kinsale Lions Club.
For thirty-five years swimmers have thrown caution to the wind and braved the chilly waters of Kinsale Harbour while selflessly raising money for local charities.
Onlookers gather to catch up with family and friends on the Pier, some of whom might just be home for the festive season, while enjoying mulled wine and hot chocolate.
