The Blue Haven Hotel Kinsale receives AA 4 Star Hotel classification and a Rosette Award for Culinary Excellence for The Fish Market Bistro
Following on from winning Ireland’s No 1 Boutique Hotel for the second time earlier in the year, The Blue Haven Hotel has been awarded 4 Star Hotel Status with AA and a Rosette award for its Culinary Excellence in the Fish Market Bistro this week.
The Blue Haven’s sister property, The Old Bank House, received AA 5 Star Status last year having won No 1 Guest House in Ireland by Georgina Campbell the previous year.
The AA recognises over 4000 hotels across Ireland and Britain. The AA uses highly trained and experienced inspectors to personally visit every AA accredited hotel and have been recognising accommodation since 1908, first introducing the star rating scheme in 1912, recognising and rewarding establishments for the quality and range of their services and facilities. AA Rosettes are a long-established Rosette scheme celebrating and recognising culinary excellence since 1956.
Blue Haven Director, Ciaran Fitzgerald said:
“We are delighted to be recognised and awarded by the prestigious AA this week, something we have been working towards over the last number of years. We are extremely proud of our hard working team who have made this happen. We set an objective of achieving 5 Star Status in Old Bank House last year and 4 Star Status in The Blue Haven and our entire team have worked tirelessly to achieve this goal. The Rosette for Culinary Excellence was an unexpected and nice surprise to get! We work hard to encourage an ethos of innovation, customer care and attention to detail in our business and it is a fantastic achievement for our team here in the hotel to be recognised for their hard work and dedication, in particular after a busy season. I’d like to say a big thank you to our incredible team”.
