A talented group of young traditional Irish musicians from County Cork has struck a high note, earning a coveted spot to perform on this year’s Late Late Toy Show, airing Friday, December 5th, 2025.
The U12 Céilí Band, a dynamic ensemble of gifted musicians aged 12 and under, wowed judges with their spirited performance and passion for Irish traditional music and they could not be more excited. Their selection marks a proud moment for their families, schools, teachers, and the wider community. The band features: • Ava O’Donoghue and Shannon Galvin – Flute • Conor O’Ríordáin Grace Kennedy, and Alannah Walsh – Fiddle • Síofra O’Sullivan – Concertina • Ellie Kennedy – Button Accordion (Box) • Diarmuid O’Sullivan – Ceili Drums •Muirne Collins – Piano/ harp • Aaronn O’Sullivan – Banjo
Their upcoming performance promises to bring a burst of youthful energy to the Toy Show stage, continuing a proud tradition of showcasing the country’s brightest young talents. “We are beyond proud of what these young musicians have achieved,” said Diarmuid Ward and Áine Teape, the band’s dedicated and proud music teachers. “Their commitment, teamwork, and love for traditional Irish music have been inspiring to witness and support .
