Children's Treasure Hunt in Kinsale this Sunday
Posted by Kinsale Newsletter on Wednesday 4 August 2021

Children have the chance to explore the colourful streets of Kinsale next Sunday and will be rewarded for their efforts with some reading material.
Words By Water, the Kinsale Literary Festival, is holding at Children's Treasure Hunt in the town, beginning at 1pm in the Market Square.
Suitable for children aged 12 and under, each clue will bring the participants to a different point of interest around the town, highlighting a number of places with historical significance along the way.
At the finish, each contestant can choose a children’s book from The Flying Poet café and bookshop, which is sponsoring the event along with the Words by Water festival.
"Having been separated from each other for so long, we are really looking forward to providing children with a safe and socially-distanced way to explore the town and maybe even learn some new facts," festival chairperson Ruth McDonnell said.
There is no need to pre-register, any families interested in attending can sign up and get their first clue from festival staff at the lamp-post in the Market Square at 1pm on Sunday August 8. Anyone who has any queries can contact the Words By Water festival committee on Facebook.
