Statement from the Heineken Kinsale 7s Committee

The Corona Virus Pandemic has resulted in mass cancellation of many events worldwide. We had hoped to host the Heineken Kinsale 7s as scheduled on the May Bank Holiday this year. However, after careful consideration, consulting with stakeholders and speaking to medical professionals, we are unfortunately announcing the cancellation of the Heineken Kinsale 7s for 2020.
The health and well-being of our volunteers, sponsors, patrons, guests and the surrounding area of Kinsale is our utmost priority. It’s with a heavy heart this decision was made, and the gravity of the situation has been made abundantly clear by the Department of Health, the Chief Medical Officer, the HSE and the government.
