A huge crowd gathered at Cork College of FET Kinsale Campus (formerly Kinsale College) on Thursday evening 5th May to celebrate the fantastic pieces of art the students have created this year. It was hugely encouraging to see the large crowd mingling on the campus, enjoying the many fine pieces on display. All the more special as circumstances have not allowed for this since 2019. This is something which the new director of Kinsale Campus, Martin Coleman, remarked upon “This is just fantastic. It is fantastic to see such a crowd here tonight to celebrate what these students have created. It is nothing more than the students deserve for the hard work and dedication they have put into this year, under challenging circumstances. A special word of thanks also must go to the teachers Julia, Jane and Caroline. They are just brilliant. They have really brought the best out of the students.”
The much-awaited art exhibition at Kinsale Campus runs from 11am to 5pm, Tuesday to Friday up until the 18th of May 2022. The ‘Ebb & Flow’ exhibition provides a glimpse into the students’ art produced during the year. This dazzling array of artwork includes sculpture, combined materials, drawings, paintings and ceramics. Enrolment for all courses is currently still open.
