Giftware Designers Featured in Pop-Up Trade Show in partnership with The North American Celtic Trade Association.

On Saturday 4th November 2017, Cork County Council’s Local Enterprise Offices, in collaboration with the North American Celtic Trade Association (NACTA), created a trade show “Pop-up” featuring 13 Cork businesses targeting the USA gift market.
This dynamic trade event “Meet the USA Buyers” offered visiting American retailers the chance to meet and review gift, craft, design and food products. This was a unique opportunity for local businesses to meet International gift buyers in person in Kinsale.
Kevin Curran, Head of Enterprise with LEO West Cork commented: “We have a track record of preparing our businesses to sell into trade and export with mentoring and training. We are lucky to have such as wealth of designer, makers and artisan food companies here in West Cork. The North American Celtic Trade Association is an established and prestigious group of over 100 retailers from the USA who retail iconic Irish brands in their shops. We are delighted work with this group of USA buyers and to organise this innovative pop-up trade event to showcase our talented brands.”
As part of their “Preparing for Brexit” programme of events, Local Enterprise Office North and West Cork partnered with these leading US retailers to create this trade event. Hosted in Kinsale Macdonalds Hotel, 23 retail trade buyers met with 13 Cork gift businesses to share insights and guides on how to export into the USA gift and retail market.
Among those featuring at the trade show were renowned Kinsale photographer, Giles Norman, and Annabel Langrish of the Heron Gallery.
