A Cork voluntary initiative called ‘Slings for Solidarity Ireland’ is collecting slings and baby carriers for refugees in Greece, Hungary, etc.. Slings provide security, safety and warmth for children in cold, chaos and crowds and can really make a difference to a family during very tough times in their lives. Aoife Collins is organising collections of slings in Kinsale for this group and is trying to get the word out to people in Kinsale to ask them to donate any spare slings they have for refugees by dropping them into the local charity shop in Kinsale on Monday to Saturday 10am to 5pm.
