Minister Jack Chambers and economist Jim Power joined more than 300 business leaders, entrepreneurs, professionals, and community representatives for flagship Kinsale business and community event in the Kinsale Hotel & Spa in Kinsale on 9 October 2026. Held under the theme “Trusted Business Leadership”, the event brought together Government, business, economics, SMEs, and the professions for a timely discussion on Budget 2027, Ireland’s economic outlook, competitiveness, and the challenges facing the SME sector. Minister Jack Chambers TD joined leading economist Jim Power, former head of the Garda National Economic Crime Bureau Pat Lordan, and Crona Clohisey, Director of Advocacy at Chartered Accountants Ireland, for the morning’s programme.
Opening the event, Chairman Cormac Fitzgerald FCPA FCA said: “There is something very positive about bringing business, Government, the professions, education, SMEs, healthcare, and community together in one room. The event has a strong community focus, with proceeds supporting the work of Kinsale & District Lions Club, while this year’s charity raffle supports KYSS – Kinsale Your Support Services and its work promoting positive mental health locally. Since its establishment, the Kinsale Budget Breakfast has generated more than €100,000 for the local community, with the continued support of Kinsale Hotel & Spa, event partners, sponsors, and the wider business community.
Mr Fitzgerald thanked everyone who had supported the event, describing the sold-out gathering as “pro-business, pro-Kinsale and pro-community.”
