Preparations are well underway for the Kinsale St. Patrick’s Day celebrations in March. The wonderful Maritime Parade in the harbour will take place on Friday 16th March at 7.30pm with traditional music, family fun and a spectacular fireworks display.
The committee is delighted to announce that Kevin Gould of Kinsale RNLI will be our Grand Marshal for the street Parade on St. Patrick’s Day. Entertainment on the day will include face painting, balloon modelling and a Céilí on Emmet Place. Prize giving for the children’s art competition will also take place following the parade.
This year the Parade will take place at the earlier time of 1pm due to the small matter of a Six Nations game between Ireland & England later in the afternoon!
So come out, enjoy the festivities for our national holiday and then cheer on our Boys in Green!
